John 8:30-38 - Freedom from Sin

In the
Avengers movie, Loki uses his scepter to take over the heart of Hawk Eye, one of the film's heroes. John 7 - Jesus Divides

Jesus Divides.mov from Kurt Trucksess on Vimeo.

When you bring Jesus into a conversation, you instantly polarize the room. Some people love him, others hate him. In our desire to avoid offending others, we keep quiet about Jesus and wait for an opportune moment. Is that the way the Jesus presented himself? Was the early church known for waiting for just the right moment so they were sure not to offend? It was just the opposite. They brought Jesus into conversations expecting he would divide the room. That is the way the church grew.

That is the same reaction the Jewish leaders of the 1st century had to Jesus. The difference is Jesus had proof to substantiate his claims. Join us as we discover how Jesus proved his claim to be the Son of God.

John 3:17-21 - What About Those Who Don't Believe in Jesus?

In 2011, Rob Bell, the senior pastor of Mars Hill Church in Michigan, published a controversial book titled, "
Love Wins: A book about heaven, hell and the fate of every person who ever lived." In it, Robs says, "What if the story of heaven and hell we have been taught is not, in fact, what the bible teaches…. how could it be good news if billions suffer in hell while only a select few go to heaven?" Rob proposes that hell is a type of reform school from which everyone will eventually graduate. Is this true? Join us as we let the Bible tell us about heaven, hell and the fate of every person who ever lived.
