2 Samuel 10 - Resisting The King

Shaquille O’Neill, the four-time NBA champion and one of the greatest basketball players ever, renounced his celebrity status in an interview with the New York Post. He feels celebrities are “freaking crazy.” He doesn’t like how they treat people, what they do with their life, and what they say. “That has never been me.” Shaq said, “I hope to be remembered for my kindness both on and off the basketball court.” In 2 Samuel 10, David also shows incredible kindness. The question is, will people embrace or reject the kindness of the king?

1 Samuel 26 - The Spear Makes The Point

In 1914, Wrigley introduced Doublemint gum. The name came from chemists who realized a double distillation process improved the flavor. Just as doubling the flavoring process made gum better, in the Bible sometimes repeats similar stories to drive its point home. In 1 Samuel 26, David has another opportunity to take Saul’s life, but he again chooses to respect Saul instead of killing him. Join us as we find out why choosing not to take revenge a second time made things better.

Jude 14-16 - What Does The Bible Teach About God's Judgement?

Brian Laundrie has a nation looking for him. After the murder of Gabby Petito, Brian managed to evade the police. The longer he refuses to turn himself in, the more guilty he appears. A nation is wondering, will Brian get away with murder? Will justice be served? As we continue our study of Jude, we look at God’s promise of final justice. Nobody gets away with anything. We will also see the good news of a God who loves us so much that he offers to take the punishment we deserve.

Jude 7 - Homosexuality And Hell

Franklin Graham had a full house at the Hertz arena where he made a stop on his Decision America tour. Surprisingly thousands have signed petitions to stop Franklin Graham from speaking in arenas around the country. The Reverend Nathan Empsall explains why, “Graham engages in repeated hatred against the LGBTQ community despite the fact that each and every person is made in God’s image.” What has Franklin Graham said that the LGBTQ community finds so hateful and offensive? Graham claims the Bible calls homosexuality a sin of which people need to repent, not an alternative lifestyle God wants us to enjoy. With so many churches and denominations endorsing homosexuality and celebrating the LGBTQ lifestyle, is Franklin Graham wrong? Join us this weekend as we find out what the Bible says about homosexuality and hell.

2 Timothy 4:1-2 - What Is A Faithful Pastor? - Part 1

On September 11, 2001, American was attacked by terrorists that flew planes into the World Trade Center. Thankfully one of the highjacked planes did not reach its intended target. It crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. The famous last words from that flight were spoken by Todd Beamer as he and the other passengers tried to regain control of the plane. They were, “Let’s Roll.” Those famous last words were later used as the rallying cry of the President to inspire America to fight back against Al-Qaeda. Join us this weekend as we come to the final chapter of 2 Timothy and study Paul’s famous last words to Timothy… Preach the Word!

Mark 13:1-23 - Jesus And The Destruction Of Jerusalem

Harold Camping is famous for being a false prophet. On billboards around the country, he told the world Jesus was coming back on May 21, 2011. As we all know, he was dead wrong. As Jesus leaves Jerusalem for the final time, he predicts Jerusalem's destruction. Unlike Harold Camping, he was right. This provides further proof that Jesus is God, because only God know the future.

Genesis 45:16-46:7 - From Famine to Fortune

We all love forgiveness we don't deserve and blessings we never expected. As the story of Joseph continues we learn how Joseph's brothers find themselves blessed beyond their wildest dreams because of the faithfulness of the brother they sold into slavery. In a similar way, as Christians, we are also blessed beyond our wildest dreams because of our elder brother Jesus.

James 3:1-12 - Weapon of Mass Destruction

What is the most destructive part of the body? The fist. The foot. It is the little piece of flesh behind our teeth called the tongue. When we were little we learned that sticks and stones can break our bones but words will never hurt us. Unfortunately, that is far from the truth. Our words, like fire, can spread and cause incalculable amounts of damage . In this message, James challenges us to get our mouth under control. If we can get our tongue under control, the rest of our life will fall in line.

James 2:9-13 - The Peril of Partiality

Playing favorites is part of life. It is easier to talk to an old friend than to make a new one. If you are young, it is convenient to ignore those who are old. It is always more fun to hang out with someone who is rich than befriend those in financial quicksand. Last week, we learned that partiality is more than just bad manners, it is sin and foolishness. This week, James takes us a step deeper as we learn how favoritism can lead to devastating eternal consequences.

Doctrine - Response and Eternal Destiny

In this final message, we wrap up the series by looking at how the Bible says God will wrap up the world. It may not be what you thought. Even though the sins of a Christian are forgiven through Christ, that does not mean their lives will escape serious review. The deeds of our life are always the basis for judgment. Join Dr. Trucksess as we learn how our choices will impact our eternity even if we are forgiven.
